Googling that error message got me a link on the Steinberg forum that suggested it might be a problem Steinberg has to fix with the change over in how activation works. I don't know if this is a problem with the switch over to the activation system with Cubase 12, and has something messed up in the transfer from dongle to no-dongle? Although at the moment I have my dongle, which I used with Artist 11.5, still inserted in my computer, so it feels like that shouldn't be an issue. This doesn't make sense to me since much of the rest of HALion is running, as is Cubase Artist 12 (apart from this issue), so it sure seems like I must have the license. In particular, check the download, running the library manager, and forcing HALion to rescan all the files didn't fix the issue - the same things are showing up with no license.Īnd today - at least for the first time I noticed, when I tried to select on them, I got a pop up message from Steinberg Activation Manager telling me "No license for HALion Sonic SE Common Presents Content has been found in your account, so you software cannot run."
